The Build-to-order supply chain management (BOSC) strategy has recently\nattracted the attention of both researchers and practitioners, given its successful\nimplementation in many companies including Dell computer, Compaq\nand BMW. The era is becoming modern day by day and the variation in demand\nof men is changing with one accord. At beginning stage, men would use\npersonal computer (PC) but they could not use PC according their preference.\nAfter some time of that period, DELL Inc. first launched PC according to customer\nneed and they gained a great market share. After that, a new technology\nhad come that is laptop. As a result, laptop market share crossed the PC market\nshare. Different company is developing standardized laptop but no one is\nactually paying attention to the customer preference. This work represents a\nmodel of BTO production of laptops and the profit estimation which\nrepresents how BOSC strategy on DELL laptop would increase the profit. The purpose of this study is to establish the relationship between Sustainability\nand TBL Performance in Horticulture Sector in Kenya. The study adopts a\ndescriptive research design. A census of all the 25 registered horticulture firms\nwithin Nairobi and its environs was conducted. The majority of horticulture\nfirms in Nairobi and its environs have adopted the TBL dimensions to a large\nextent. The authors faced the challenge of lack of co-operation from the respondents\neither by failing to receive back the questionnaires or complete refusal\nto give the authors audience to present their case. The majority of the\nhorticulture firms are fully aware of the benefits of adopting TBL dimensions\nand firms that have already embraced the three dimensions, have in mind of\nthe relationship between sustainability and TBL performance....
Dry ports currently play an integral role in the global logistics network relieving\nseaport from congestions and enabling more efficient and effective cargo\nhandling with improved logistics solutions to facilitate cargo transportation\nfor shippers in the portâ��s hinterland locations. This paper focuses on developing\ndry ports in Togo and the concept of dry port as well as the drivers behind\nthe emergence and development of dry ports has been extensively reviewed in\nexisting literatures. It also delves into the classification of dry ports based on\nthe geographical factors relating to distance from the seaport. In addition,\nPort of Lom�© is presented as a main gateway port for West African Landlocked\nCountries (LLCâ��s) with major focus on Lom�©-Ouagadougou CU9\ntransit corridor, which remains a pivot channel for transporting merchandise\ndesignated for hinterland markets.
